Awards

Every italian atc can apply for one active award per time.
The award application must be sent to the Training Director, who has the right to give or not to give the award depending on the skills of the trainee.
The atc and the examiner will decide together the date of the check session, according to their spare time.
An atc can apply to any award how many times he wants, but he can only get one award per time.

These are our actual awards:

Phraseology and speech For this award the controller must perfectly know both english and italian phraseology in any traffic situation; his speech must be fluent, clear, and simple. In a word: smart. Required rating: STU+

Ground/Tower Operations This award ensures that the controller knows how to handle traffics both on the ground and in the ATZ. A big importance is given to the air rules, to the traffic separation, and to the safety. Required rating: STU+

Approach Operations The Approach Operations award ensures that the controller is able to control traffics in a CTR or a TMA. It means a safe and smart traffic flow and good coordinations both with TWR and ACC. Required rating: CTR

Area Control Operations A controller awarded for the Area Control Operations is able to provide enroute control to the IFR traffics, and also Flight Information Service to the VFR traffics in his FIR. Required rating: CTR
