SB3 Beta 1 Quick Tour

THIS IS BETA SOFTWARE ANY FEATURE MAY BE MODIFIED WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE
NOTHING IS DEFINITIVE AND NO GUARANTEE IS GIVEN :)
The purpose of this webpage is by no means to be a substitute for a manual, it just wants to show some of the main features, and it could be used as a base for a quick start guide in the future. It is not intended this way at the moment.

Starting FS2004 in LIML, SB3 has been installed on the local machine. It may be instaled on a second machine without problems.

To start SB3 just select "Start Squawkbox" form the "modules" drop down

and all server info are loaded automatically.. no more updating ipaddr.txt

SB3 is now ready for use

Clicking on the start button brings up the main menu

The display options page...

The Multiplayer options page...

The Weather options page...

The Radio options page...

The chat options page...

The voice options page...

The advanced options page...

Clicking on connect brings up the connection window...

SB3 manages "callsign profiles" here are the windows for assigning an aircraft model

Clicking "connect" and there we are...

start -> file flight plan... (and yes i know a 737 for that short hop is not the best choice :) )

right clicking on a controller...

gives his atis or opens a private chat box (you may open a chat in different ways, from the menu or clicking on the name in the main comms window works too)

122.95 is selected...

127.45 (LIMM_V_CTRs frequency) and we get the atis again and in th elower right see that we are on text and voice :)

some of the WX options... (SB3 does update automatically)

we can double click and reduce the SB3 window...

if a message is received on frequency the window opens a bit and shows the message for ten seconds.

turning on the TCAS... yes from the aircraft panel :) (an extra transponder gauge is provided for those aircrafts which don't have it)

seems the PMDG radio panel ident button didn't work... let's do it again from SB3 this time...

some multiplayer traffic finally...

...a bit of work still has to be done.. but that's the models not SB3 :)

if you close a chat window....

... the text is transferred back to the main window

Flight is over.. disconnecting...

ready to close everything.

that's it..

Hope you liked this small tour :)

Thanks to Joel for creating the software, to Alessandro who controlled and to AUA517L who waited at the gate for a multiplayer picture :)
